Steady State Numerical Simulation of Natural Gas Cleaning Process

Natural gas is a promising elective source of methane (CH4) due to its accessibility and renewability. However, unfortunately, high rate carbon dioxide (CO2) very little hydrogen sulfide (H2S) found in this CH4 source. These compounds must be removed get natural satisfactory quality. One the most modern common strategies synchronous CO2 and H2S removal chemical absorption, i.e. use Pressure Swing Absorber (PSA). In order design an efficient plant, characteristic acidic treating plant mimicked utilizing Aspen HYSYS 8.8. The point mimicry attain immaculateness by determining optimum working pressure using (PSA) which feed sour fed absorber at concentration 0.25 CO2 0.0004 H2S. parameters are: 30°C (temperature), 1.1 bars (initial pressure) 15 m3/h (stream rate), 25 wt. % monoethanolamine (MEA) concentrate. A 20-stage PSA with tray diameter 1.7 m used. results study show that obtain purity 95%, 5 needed.
